Browsing Events Near You

ActionGrid makes it easy to find volunteer events right in your neighborhood. Whether you prefer a map or a list, you'll find opportunities that fit your schedule and interests.

The Events Page

Tap Events in the bottom navigation to see what's happening around you. By default, you'll see events sorted by distance from your current location.

Each event card shows:

• Event name and campaign

• Date, time, and duration

• Distance from you

• Event type (canvass, phone bank, rally, etc.)

• How many people have RSVP'd

Map View vs. List View

Toggle between two ways to browse:

• List view — a scrollable feed of event cards, great for quickly scanning what's coming up

• Map view — pins on a map showing where events are, perfect for finding things close to home or work

Tap the map/list icon in the top right to switch between them.

Setting Your Location

ActionGrid uses your location to show nearby events. If you haven't set it yet:

• Tap the location icon at the top of the Events page

• Allow location access, or type in your zip code or city

• Events will refresh to show what's near you

Set your location by zip code or let ActionGrid detect it automatically

You can change your location anytime to explore events in other areas — maybe you're visiting family or planning a weekend trip.

Quick Tip

Set your default location in your profile settings so the Events page always starts with your home area.

Browsing by Date

Use the date picker at the top to jump to a specific day or week. This is handy when you know you're free next Saturday and want to see what's available.
