Filtering by Cause & Type

With so many events happening, filters help you zero in on the ones that match your passions and preferred style of volunteering.

Using Cause Filters

At the top of the Events page, you'll see filter chips for different causes:

• Climate & Environment

• Housing

• Healthcare

• Education

• Voting Rights

• Criminal Justice

• Immigration

• And more

Tap one or more causes to filter the list. Only events associated with those causes will show. Tap a cause again to remove the filter.

Using Event Type Filters

You can also filter by what kind of volunteering you want to do:

• Canvass — door-to-door conversations in neighborhoods

• Phone Bank — making calls to voters from a phone or computer

• Text Bank — sending texts to voters using a script

• Rally / March — public demonstrations and gatherings

• Fundraiser — events focused on raising money for a cause

• Training — workshops to build your skills

• Community Meeting — town halls, planning sessions, and discussions

Filtered results — only the events that match your selections appear

Combining Filters

Filters stack. So if you pick "Climate" and "Canvass," you'll see canvassing events for climate-focused campaigns. This is great when you know exactly what you're looking for.

Saved Filters

If you find yourself using the same filters often, your selections are remembered between visits. ActionGrid learns your preferences over time and may highlight relevant events on your dashboard.

Clearing Filters

To see all events again, tap Clear All next to the filter chips. This resets everything and shows the full event list.
