Joining a Community

Communities on ActionGrid are groups of volunteers who share a common interest, location, or cause. Joining one is a great way to meet people, find events, and stay motivated.

What Are Communities?

A community is a group within ActionGrid built around a shared focus. Examples:

• Geographic — "Oakland Volunteers," "District 5 Team"

• Cause-based — "Climate Action Network," "Housing Justice Crew"

• Campaign-specific — "Team Smith for Council," "Yes on Prop 12"

• Skill-based — "Bilingual Canvassers," "Data Entry Squad"

Communities have their own events, discussions, and resources. Think of them like clubs within the larger ActionGrid platform.
